of our colleagues are going to the funeral of a center inouye, and that service will take place in hawaii and it has created a challenge for us as it relates to the schedule. we understand that this is a difficult, difficult time. we need to work together to put in place pro-growth and economic policies. i think, as i said in my opening remarks, there is a bipartisan way to do that. commend the president for his proposal to lower the corporate tax rate. real tax reform -- this can be done in a bipartisan way. real entitlement reform does not hurt our fellow americans. that is something that can be done in a responsible way. i will simply say that this is not a perfect process, but it is the end of the session -- the process is going on right now to deal with a tough situation. we do not want afro-americans to be hurting, especially at this time of year -- we do not want our fellow americans to be hurting, especially at this time of year. i think we can see an agreement which will work to ensure that does not take place. mr. speaker, i urge my colleagues to support the rule, support the an
